As a willing participant in the beginnings of the "Great Resignation" myself, my initial reaction was to find a way to make sure no employee had to go through what I went through. 

The compensation issues, underappreciation, and misaligned culture problems that I experienced caused me to walk away from many jobs that I thought would have forever. 

I didn't consider the agony I was causing my employer, however. In my head, the employer was this callous opponent who hated me and was pleased I had finally departed, but in reality, they hated losing people even more than I realized. 

I began investigating why employees like myself left in voluntary droves during the pandemic. I started to see patterns in industries that mimicked my own story throughout the years. It seemed to come down to communication styles amongst different personalities conflicting, destroying the opportunity for constructive feedback and retention. 

If I could figure out how to help them find a universal language, we could all understand each other and stop the unrelenting turnover. As it turns out, personality styles, the awareness of our own, and how to communicate with others were the key to everything.

Confident in my findings, I founded Hero Culture, LLC, and put a new philosophy and mission into practice. To improve people's working environment by engaging in activities that produce positive and lasting change.

Later I joined Take Flight Learning and joined in their efforts to bring those very activities to the organizations that needed them most by leading training and certifying affiliate trainers across the world to this day.
